International Wire
A cross-border payment in or out, carried as an ISO 20022 CBPR+ message (pacs.008) over the international messaging network: the creditor with an IBAN or account number, the creditor agent's BIC and address, an optional intermediary agent, the charge bearer that decides which side pays which fee, a purpose code and remittance information, and the end-to-end reference (UETR) the payment keeps through the chain. The bank sends only to the destination countries and currencies it serves. Screened both ways, queued to the currency's window, tracked to the credit, and repairable, cancellable (camt.056) or returnable (pacs.004). Until the bank is a member of the network, the network is a simulator and no acknowledgement it returns is a real one.
